Meet Cindy Atoji
Cindy Atoji is a digital media and communications strategist/writer who has a strong and diverse background in journalism, media relations, corporate communications and online media/publishing. She has developed content for several health-related start-ups, including BodiMojo.com, as well as on-line media companies, including OwnerIQ, Work.com, and Most Effective Student Marketing. Cindy served as a healthcare technology reporter for Digital Healthcare and Productivity, and covered tech topics for TechTarget. Cindy also has experience in higher ed reporting and editing, having served as editor of the Boston Herald Learning Magazine. She offers services in project management, editing, copy editing, blogging, writing, and more.
With nearly two decades of professional writing and editing experience, Cindy was magazine/supplements editor at the Boston Herald and assistant features editor at the Lowell Sun Newspaper. She has been published in The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Seventeen Magazine, Essence, and others and was contributing editor to “Parents and Teens” (Victor Books).
Cindy’s specialty is translating complex information about health and wellness for a lay audience. She was chief copy editor for a medical textbook and created marketing materials for several area hospitals. Her portfolio includes a diverse range of media, from brochures for a medical supply company and invitations for a corporate anniversary to non-profit newsletters and health-related books and literature.
Cindy has a BS in Journalism from University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana. When she’s not glued to the computer, she’s mom to two active sons, and likes to read, jog, and can wield a mean hockey stick, as a former member of the aptly named team, “Mothers on Edge.” |
